Do you have something in your eye?

Matt. 7:5 Thou Hypocrite, first cast out the beam that is in thine own eye; and then thou shalt see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Beam
During the holiday's we are usually around people that we are not normally with. And sometimes it is hard not to try and look for a flaw in personalities and/or notice one. Some family is better to love at a distance... If you have these kind of relatives than you are like most self respecting Americans, but you are among the minority to admit it... Well as I hadMote family over I noticed that I had a very critical spirit. But soon the Holy Spirit came and in that very familiar still small voice, He said to me you have something in your eye. I said well I wander what it is, and I soon found out that it was a BEAM... I could not see how to be a blessing how to help others because I am trying to pick out mote's while forsaking my own beam.
MOTE
May God always help me to be conscious to the fact that I can't be the MAN, MOTECHRISTIAN, HUSBAND, SON, DADDY,NEPHEW or PREACHER with out first getting my eyes clear.

Merry Christmas!

Bible Baptist Church in Fairbanks, AK

Faith Baptist Church of Chalmette

What a blessing it was to be a part of the services at the Faith Baptist Cherch of Chalmette Louisanna. It was good to see the Lord working in the heart of those people we hope that we were as much a blessing as they were to us.

Hello everyone I am so sorry that i haven't written in so long but as most of you know I was in Alaska for a month and then to top it of my Internet was down. So therefore to play catch up I will let you know what has been going on. We have just completed a few days of rest for the holidays and now we are packing getting ready to leave out for a few more meetings. We will be in Greenville, AL Sunday morning and that evening we will head out to Opelika, AL and eventually end up in Roanoke, AL. We thank everyone who has prayed for us your prayers have been answered and we have had a great Thanksgiving.

Sunday

Last Sunday was a great day. I was able to be in my home church for Sunday school as well as Sunday morning service. My Pastor, Bro. Tim Whigham, brought a powerful message on Christians with a Vision. If we have ever needed a vision before it is today my friends. I thank God for a Pastor who will un-apologetically preach out of the old KJB. They let me teach the young adult class during Sunday School.

Sunday night was much the same we had a great time at the Lord's house. I was in Bay Minette Alabama, at Hand Ave. Baptist Church. I was allowed the wonderful opportunity to show our DVD and to preach to the congregation there. They said that they would be reviewing there missions program next year and we will be considered. Thank God for yet another man who stands upon the word of God.

How can these things be?

Two mites being more than all the other money! Success is not determined by how much or how little you give but rather by your obedience to God. This woman was looked down upon, by men, because of the amount. But in God's eyes she was giving more than they all because of her sacrifice.
Some people think that success on the mission field is determined by number of souls won, although that should be a goal in the ministry it should not be our focus. Our focus should be none other than to please the Lord. When we seek to please the Lord we will find it more difficult to be discouraged, and quit.
So as you serve Him today know that it is not how much you do that pleases Him but rather how much you obey!

Facts about Kenya

Population: 34 Million

Life expectancy: 49

Leading cause of Death: AIDS

And the Lord said whom shall I send and who will go for us ???

Matthew 6:4-5

We often say that we serve a God of impossibilities, although that is true the Bible teaches that while Jesus was on this Earth he faced an impossibility. In Matthew 6:4+5 as Jesus was in His home town that he could do no mighty work. The people were familiar with Him. They said how do you know all of these things we know who you mom and dad are... We have seen you grow up and we know your brothers and sisters.

I wander have I let Jesus get so familiar that I limit His wonderful power?
Have you got so familiar that you can't see Jesus working around you?

Missions Conference

Tonight was the first night of Missions Conference in Hesston, KS.

We had a great time of fellowship and singing. But most importantly the Preaching was outstanding. The preacher preached out of I Kings 7 "We do not well if we hold our peace..." It a very convicting message.

A Pastors Perspective

My father-in-law, Bro. Dexter Truesdell has been a great source of encouragement to me and my ministry. I asked him if he had any articles that I could post on my blog. So from time to time I will be posting these articles on my blog. if you are an Independent Baptist Pastor and have written an article that you feel would be a blessing to the readers than email it to me @ missionarykr@hotmail.com. Please keep them short so that our readers do not get tired of reading them.

Too young? Too Old?

Many things in life are determined by a person's age. A child starts attending school at a certain age. A Citizen gains the right to vote when he or she reaches a certain age. Senior Citizens are entitled to receive Social Security benefits at a certain age.A person's age also can also limit a person's activities. Men and women are not able to join the military once they reach a certain age. Some companies have mandatory retirement rules that force employees to retire once they reach a certain age.

Perhaps that is the reason people often use their age as an excuse for not serving God. Many churches are filled with people who feel they are too old to serve God and some churches are filled with people who feel they are too young to serve God. Multitudes think they are excused from Christian Service because of their age.

How sad. For if you look in the Bible you will see a person's age has nothing to do with Christian service. People of all ages played an important part in God's Kingdom.
Notice a few examples...
1. Caleb was eighty-five years old when he began to conquest of Caanan.
2. Abraham was seventy-five years old when he left Ur of the Chaldees.
3. Moses was eighty years old when God called him to deliver Israel.
4. Timothy was a young man, probably in his teens or early twenties, when he began to assist the Apostle Paul.
5. Mary, the mother of Jesus, she was a young girl (teenager) when God chose her to be the avenue of our Savior's birth.
6. David was just a boy in his teens when he faced and defeated the giant Goliath.
7. A small boy, not yet in his teens blessed the multitude when he gave his lunch to Jesus.
8. God used a little Hebrew girl to deliver the message that Naahman could be cured from his leprosy.

The old the young and those in between; they all played a part in the work of God. No one was over looked or neglected. All who wanted to serve God were used of God, regardless of their age.

Ecclesiastes 12:1 "Remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth..."
Psalms 23:6 King David said"... and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

From childhood to the grave, God has a place for everyone in His church. Your never too old or too young to serve the LORD.

Deputation

While doing our taxes this year we were amazed at the fact of the US Government is giving money back to us. We took our taxes to H+R Block and yes they told us that we were to get money back. Praise the Lord.

Well my wife and I were thinking of ways to be prudent and frugal with our money, and the thought of Africa came to our mind. We were so excited to know that we could actually afford to go to Kenya for a second time. But as God usually does, he had other plans for our life. He shut the door to go to Kenya (aka "filled our calender up") and opened the door to go to Alaska in October and November. Hey Africa=Alaska whats the difference.... Just kidding. Well it turns out the money we were going to use for Africa is now going to be used for Alaska. And you guessed it it is the exact amount we need to get there and back.AMEN! Now I would like to say thanks to Faith Baptist Church in Gulfport, Mississippi, they felt led of the Lord to give us 500.00 to help on this large expense, we are so thankful for this much needed blessing.
We will be in Six different churches, presenting the ministry while in Alaska.

God always sees the big picture of things. So next time your plans don't work out except it as the Will of the Almighty God. God knows what we need before we need it.

Ministry Update

We had 3 cancellations for all kinds of reasons. But I am comforted if the fact that God knew about it before I did. We dropped in on two other churches that were in the same area and scheduled meetings with both of them. Praise the Lord! On Monday morning we headed up to Georgiana Alabama for a tent meeting with Bro. Dexter Truesdell and Bro. Dan Carr. We had 73 Monday night 84, Tuesday night, 59 on Wednesday night, and 85 Thursday night. Over the hole week we had 74 people say that they got saved 6 of those were in a back yard Bible club; 9 walked down the isle during the night services and the other 59 were saved as a result of an estimated 16 hours of soul winning. So now we will prepare to leave out for Grove Hill tomorrow. Please Pray for me I will be preaching at a youth camp tonight in Pearl Mississippi.

Thursday, July 17, 2008

Well today is our last day in Georgiana AL. After Bible clubs we will be heading out to Jackson MS. We will be preaching in a Youth Camp Friday night. Monday, July 14, 2008

Praise God the meeting in Grove Hill went well. We had the privilege to meet and fellowship with Pastor Dunn, As well as present the ministry to Kenya and preach Amen! I did forget to turn on the recorder so the pastor is having me back in to preach this Sunday morning.
You can visit there website at
http://cbcofgrovehill.org. Thanks so much for praying for us...

We are now at a old fashioned tent meeting in Georgiana Alabama. We will be leading the music while Pastor Dexter Truesdell and Pastor Dan Carr will be doing the preaching. We are helping a church " Bible Baptist Church " get there feet on the ground by Soul winning 5 hours a day with teams of 12-15 people in pairs of two. Then at 7:00 nightly we have preaching and singing under the tent. Praise the Lord, this is our first day here and already we have had 12 professions of faith... We pray that the Lord will show up again tonight and some will be saved as well as the rest of the week.

What is MIssions???

Tonight the Ralph Family will be in Grove Hill AL. Presenting the ministry where unto the Lord has called them...

Well its true we have to leave Mississippi and go to AL for a week and a 1/2. During this time I will be in 5 Churches that could Lord willing support us. Please pray that we would line up with there vision to reach the world, in our generation. this is what I plan to preach tonight...

What is Missions???
Act 13:1-3
Dr. Wilder, a dynamic missionary leader in India, was dining with three naval officers. During the course of the conversation one of the officers remarked, “Why don’t these missionaries stay at home and mind there own business?”
Dr. Wilder replied, “suppose you were ordered to take your battleship to Constantinople tomorrow, would you choose weather to obey or not?”
The Officer retorted, If we are ordered to go we must go, even if every ship is sunk and every sailor killed.”
“Quite right,” said the missionary. “I have orders from the divine Government:’ go and preach the gospel to every creature.’ ”

“The Requirement” of Missions
A. You must be Saved (Rom 10:13-15)
B. You must be Serving (Acts 13:2)
C. You must be Sent (Acts 13:3)

“The Reason” of Missions
A. Because He Came (Luke 19:10)
B. Because He Commanded (Matt 28:19-20)
C. Because He Called me ( Act 13:47)

“The Result” of Missions
A. Ever abiding Presence (Matt 28:20)
B. Ever existing Promise (Is 15:11)
C Ever available Power (Matt 28:18)

Christ Has No Hands But Ours!!!
Christ has no hands but our hands
To do his work today;
He has no feet but our feet
To lead men in His way;
He has no tongue but our tongues
To tell men how he died;
He has no help but our help
To bring them to His side
We are the only Bible
This careless world will read;
We are the sinners Gospel
We are the scoffer’s creed;
We are the Lord’s last message
Written in deed and word
What is the line is crooked?
What is the type is blurred?
What if our hands are busy
With other work than His?
What if our feet are walking
Where sin’s allurement is?
What if our tongues are speaking
Of things His lips would spurn?
How can we hope to help Him
Unless from Him we learn?

S.M.I.T.E. Camp

Well praise the Lord, I just got back from a five day camp which taught me to lead a 5 day back yard bible club. I was able to learn a lot while I was there but the best part was to be able to lead 6 souls to the Lord. Praise the Lord, I know I should not get that excited about it but it just means that 6 people will never have to face a Devils hell but instead can enjoy a Savior's heaven.

I Apologize

I apologize for not writing before but I have been in the land with no Internet. I haven’t figured out how to use the Blackberry for a router just yet but I will one day. I have been in Mobile spending time with my mom, as well as going to my uncle’s funeral. I believe that the Lord used this to soften up the hearts of my family as well as show me that time is running out for all of us…

Happy Mother's Day

Mother's day is a special time of the year, when you can honor those whose have laboured for you. If you don't think your mom is all that great let me give you some things she did for you when you couldn't do them yourself.

1. Changed your diapers(If your not careful there will be a day when you have to change her's)

2. Gave you food to eat for at least 16 years

3. She was always there to mend a bruise, wound or a BEE sitng

4. Her hugs were priceless (until you got married)

5. No matter what she has never quit loving you and me

I had a mom that did that and I am so grateful but now I have a Wife/ MOTHER! What a honor to have such a great mother as a wife...

Happy Mother's Day

Back to the old grinding stone!

Well after about 40 days on the road away from home I'm back. Praise the Lord for the great meetings we had during that 40 day period. We have been in 27 churches, all the way from Virginia to Mississppi. I will be at home for one week before getting back on the road. So during this time a lot of phone calls will be made !!! I have around 50 more services to schedule through the new year. Please pray for us...

Pastor's Conference 2008

Praise God for the Pastor's Conference hosted by the Vision Baptist Church in Alphretta, GA. All the Preachers challanged us to be concerned about decipling the younger generation.

One very important lesson that I learned was "the BE level" I Was smitten in my heart. How can I tell others how to be if I am not? How can I lead the country to Kenya to the Savior with no Power on my life? If I do not have the Power of God on my Life it is because I am not full on the BE level.

May we all strive to be FULL of the BE level instead of Doing, Serving and Training in vain.

Praise the Lord!

What a great day! Through all the trials Christ has the victory! Amen

Today I had the opportunity of going to Yazoo city Mississippi and work on our new DVD. This was one of My goals for the month of January.Praise God for His goodness.

We went to the Ped. doctor for Hanna. He said she looked great, but it seemed as if she had some fluid on her ears. He prescribed a anti-biotic for her. Please pray that this will allow her to sleep all the way through the night..

Thanks for viewing my blog.

Thanks for viewing my blog.

Last night I had the wonderful opportunity to teach college. Not something I do all the time as a matter of fact this was the first and only time that a pastor asked me to do it. But I had a great time.

The subject was the Pastor and his problems. And the lesson was on the Antagonist.
(Antagonist- a constant thorn in the flesh; one who is constantly contending with others.) As I was doing the study I discovered that their were a few antagonist in my life. And as I always say, you can't complain about them if your not praying for them.
But that isn't all that I learned.

I am so thankful for that opportunity to teach. As we well know that deputation is a time for learning, praying, and trusting.

May God bless you as you learn, pray and trust in Him today.

Devotion 1/2/07

Text:
Romans 2:1-5

Ro 2:1 ¶ Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

How does this text apply to me:
Therefore points back to the last verse in chapter #1 (but have pleasure in them that do them). we are inexcusable . To think for one second that we can judge others for the same sin we are committing and get away with it. We are so harsh when we judge but when God judges it is with mercy and justice. So the just of verse # 1 is "who do you think you are".
Verse # 2+3 is straight to the point we are sure of the judgment of God. We can't get around it we can't avoid it, and we can't pay our way out of it.
I am very guilty of verse #4 when I have sin in my life, I am ashamed to say but, I do not take into consideration the goodness of God. Sometimes His goodness to me, is taken for granted. I am so selfish, proud and arrogant that I believe that I deserve it because I am saved. And the thought has crossed my mind I am a preacher, I have extra favor with God. But it is not so.

Ro 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Ac 10:34 ¶ Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

Prayer for the Day:

Help me to see myself as I am and not to think that I am better than anyone. Allow me oh GOD to humble myself before you must humble me. Since judgment is equal for all men no matter the color or the calling allow me to live as if it were my last to serve you!
